New Online Forums eMail Subscription Feature

We've received a number of requests asking to be able to get updates via eMail of new posts in the Online Forums.  The Administration Team has added a new feature which builds on the "Subscribe" capability already in place.

Now, when you "Subscribe" to a particular forum or individual message, you will receive an eMail every time there is a new posting to either the forum or message. This eMail will contain a link to the message, as well as the full but unformatted content of the message.  This means that you don't have to actually go to the forum to read the message - it will be included in the eMail you receive (as long as you are Subscribed!).

In addition you'll receive, as has always been the case, a direct link to the forum or message on the Online Forums site, so that you can look around to see what else has been posted.

To Subscribe to a Forum or Message:

• login to the SMA Website and select "Visit the Online Forums" from the Members Only menu
• Click on a particular forum (and then a message if it is your intent to only subscribe to an individual message)
• Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the link that says "Subscribe forum" (or "Subscribe topic") as illustrated in the images below [HINT: Click on any of the 3 images below to enlarge them for better viewability]

If you see that the link says "Unsubscribe forum" (as illustrated below) or "Unsubscribe topic," that means you are already subscribed. If you click the link, your eMail notifications will be canceled.
