Monday, April 26th - Stage Combat Workshop in NYC

The SMA is hosting a Stage Combat Workshop for Stage Managers.

When: Monday, April 26th - 12-5p
Where: Roy Arias Studios at 300 W. 43rd St. in New York City
Cost: Free for SMA Members; Non-members who wish to participate would be required to join the SMA ($45 for Full membership, $40 for Associate membership - each figure includes a one-time $25 initiation fee)

Kevin G. Coleman, who is one of the Fight Directors at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, will conduct this 5 hour workshop. He will teach the basics of hand-to-hand, sword, and dagger, and will talk about how to conduct fight calls and about the relationship between the Stage Manager and Fight Captain.

Class size is limited to 15 participants. Wear comfortable clothing and non-slip footwear.
