Eligibility Must be enrolled in a high school, college, or graduate program focused on stage management, and not a member of any branch of any of the 4A unions. Those who are working with stage managers (such as Production Managers and Technical Directors), teaching stage managers, or who enjoy stage managing but do not practice it as a career. Must demonstrate experience as a professional stage manager. This may include someone who has worked under a union contract, someone who makes their primary living as a stage manager or someone who is working towards, or retired from, making their primary living as a stage manager.

Automatic Renewal

SMA Memberships are for a pre-paid 12-month membership term and will automatically renew at the end of that term for another 12-month term. You agree that SMA may automatically renew your membership and charge your account on the one year anniversary of your last membership date (i.e. the "Renewal Date") unless you cancel your membership before the Renewal Date.

Notice Of Automatic Renewal

The SMA will send you an email notice approximately 30 days prior to the Renewal Date. This notice will inform you that your current membership term is about to end and will specify the Renewal Date when your membership will be renewed and your account charged. All notices regarding your membership will be sent to your last email of record. To cancel your membership without your account being charged for the next term, you must do so before the Renewal Date. Please keep a record of when your subscription term ends and the next Renewal Date. You are responsible for the timely cancellation of your membership regardless of whether you receive any notice from us.
