Typically I will send out a follow up a few weeks after submission -or If I applied for a specific job a few days/ or week after they said they would get back to people.

However if you get no response- I would not follow up again until you have updated your resume and have more credits so that you have a reason to resubmit to them.

You deal by finding work where you can even if not stage managing and by submitting and look into things not in traditional theater. There are videos on this website for our members about non traditional stage management jobs that are awesome.
